Jenna Martínez is a queer Mexican-American writer and printmaker. She is a finalist for the 2025 Jack McCarthy Book Prize, a 2023–2024 Literary Cleveland Breakthrough Writing Resident, and a recipient of the 2023 Unidos Por El Arte Grant. Jenna was the inaugural Artist-in-Residence at In Surreal Life. Her work has been supported by the Macondo Writers Workshop and Community of Writers Workshop. She writes about borders, desire, and friendship, and the expansiveness of queerness. Her poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in The Kenyon Review, HAD, Shō Poetry Journal, Cleveland Scene, Homology Lit, and elsewhere. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, she lives in Cleveland, Ohio.
